What to Include
Help us understand your request:
- What you're trying to accomplish — The goal, not just the feature
- How you work around it today — Your current process
- How often you'd use this — Daily, weekly, occasionally?
- How important it is — Nice-to-have vs. blocking your workflow
Good feature requests describe problems. Great ones help us understand why the problem matters.
Example Request
"I frequently need to find all claims for a specific provider NPI across multiple 837 files. Currently I have to open each file individually and search. It would be great if I could search across all open files at once, or even better, search a folder of files without opening each one."
This tells us:
- The problem: Finding specific data across multiple files
- Current workaround: Manual, file-by-file searching
- Frequency: "Frequently" suggests daily or weekly use
- Impact: This clearly slows down the user's workflow
What Happens to Requests
- We read everything — Every request is reviewed by our product team
- We look for patterns — Features requested by multiple users get prioritized
- We evaluate fit — Does it align with EDI Paisan's goals?
- We estimate effort — Some features are quick wins, others are major undertakings
- We build and ship — When we implement your idea, we'll let you know!
We can't promise every request will be built, but we genuinely consider all of them.
